21UP Movement Action Hub Joins Fatima Whitbread MBE’s UK Campaign

Only together can we rebuild the village that once raised the child.
What happens when people who understand the challenges of growing up in care come together with one shared purpose? Real opportunities for change.
21UP Movement is incredibly proud to announce that we have joined Fatima Whitbread MBE’s Fatima’s UK Campaign as an official Action Hub, becoming part of a nationwide network working to improve the lives of children, young people and adults with care experience.
This is more than a partnership. It is an opportunity to turn shared values into practical action, strengthen support networks and help create a future where care experienced people are recognised, supported and given the opportunities they deserve.
For us, this is personal.
21UP Movement Action Hub: A Partnership Rooted in Lived Experience
For 21UP Movement founder Perry Blake, becoming an Action Hub carries deep personal meaning.
Having experienced foster care during childhood and the loss of his younger brothers to adoption, Perry understands first hand how separation, instability and the absence of consistent support can shape a young person's experiences and opportunities.
Those experiences helped inspire the creation of 21UP Movement, a youth empowerment initiative built on one powerful belief: your past should never determine your future.
We believe every young person deserves to feel valued, discover their potential and have someone in their corner who genuinely believes in them.
Through youth mentoring, creative opportunities, personal development and pathways towards education, employment and entrepreneurship, we work to help young people:
Recognise their strengths and build self belief.
Develop confidence, resilience and positive relationships.
Make informed decisions and navigate life's challenges.
Explore new interests, talents and opportunities.
Build aspirations and take practical steps towards a brighter future.
Becoming an Action Hub allows us to bring our experience, commitment and understanding of youth empowerment into a wider national movement.
What Does Becoming a Fatima’s UK Campaign Action Hub Mean?

Fatima’s UK Campaign brings together individuals and organisations committed to improving the lives of people who have experienced the care system.
Its Action Hubs provide a platform for collaboration, shared learning and practical initiatives that can make a meaningful difference.
The wider ambition is to strengthen confidence, self worth and life opportunities for care experienced children, young people and adults across all four nations of the UK.
This includes:
Sharing knowledge and experience: Bringing organisations and individuals together to exchange ideas, experiences and approaches that can improve support.
Developing better opportunities: Encouraging practical initiatives that help care experienced people build confidence, discover their potential and access new possibilities.
Building stronger connections: Creating meaningful relationships through collaboration and mentorship across communities and organisations.
Influencing positive change: Supporting constructive engagement with local and national decision makers to help improve outcomes for people with care experience.
As an Action Hub, 21UP Movement will contribute its experience, learn from others and work collaboratively towards a shared national mission.
We want every young person to experience what meaningful support should look like: someone who listens, someone who remains consistent and someone who helps them take their next step.
Why Support for Care Experienced Young People Matters
Growing up in care can bring challenges that continue long after a young person leaves the care system.
For some, these experiences can affect confidence, relationships, education, employment and their sense of belonging. Having the right people, opportunities and support around them can make a significant difference.
At 21UP Movement, we believe support should go beyond simply telling young people what they can achieve. It should give them the encouragement, tools, experiences and opportunities to make it happen.
That is why our work focuses on more than preventing negative outcomes. We want to help young people discover what is possible.
Whether through mentoring, creative expression, personal development or opportunities to explore future careers, our approach is centred on helping young people move forward with confidence.
Because young people do not just need someone to tell them they matter. They need people who show them.
Proud to Be Part of a Nationwide Movement
Joining Fatima Whitbread MBE’s UK Campaign as an Action Hub is a significant milestone for 21UP Movement.
We are proud that our commitment, experience and dedication to empowering young people have been recognised through this invitation.
But we also recognise the responsibility that comes with being part of a nationwide network.
We look forward to building new relationships, sharing knowledge, learning from fellow Action Hubs and contributing to initiatives that create meaningful and lasting improvements for care experienced people.
Our sincere thanks go to Fatima Whitbread MBE and the Fatima’s UK Campaign team for welcoming 21UP Movement into this collaborative network.
We are excited about what we can achieve together.
Be Part of the Change: Help Us Create Better Futures
Every young person deserves the opportunity to build a future that is not limited by their circumstances or experiences.
But creating that future takes more than good intentions. It takes people, organisations, communities and businesses willing to work together.
At 21UP Movement, we are committed to creating opportunities, strengthening confidence and helping young people realise their potential.
You can be part of that change.
Whether you are a school, business, community organisation, potential funder or someone who believes in giving young people a fair chance, we would love to connect.
Here is how you can help:
Partner with us: Explore opportunities to collaborate on youth empowerment and care experienced support initiatives.
Support our work: Help fund mentoring, personal development and opportunities for young people.
Create opportunities: Offer placements, experiences, skills development or pathways into employment.
Spread the word: Share our work and help more people discover the difference collective action can make.
Together, we can turn opportunities into possibilities, support into progress and shared ambition into lasting change.
Only together can we rebuild the village that once raised the child.
